Hancock Traffic Stop Yields Large Amounts of Drugs
A Marblehead man was arrested Saturday on drug and alcohol charges after a traffic stop on Route 20.
The Berkshire Eagle reports at around 3:15 a.m., Massachusetts State Police Trooper Jack Elliott stopped a station wagon driven by Sean O'Connor, 27, for a broken headlight.
Police searched the vehicle and found substances believed to be heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, "as well as two one-gallon bags of mushrooms, 15 perforated sheets of paper with 1,000 squares of LSD, pills believed to be the drug Ecstasy, brown wax THC, medical peanut butter with THC, and $2,972.50 in U.S. currency," police said.
O'Connor was arrested on four charges of drug distribution, operating of the influence of drugs, operating under the influence of alcohol and a headlight violation. He was booked at the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Cheshire, held on $5,000 bail and was due to be arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court.
