Green River Cleanup Planned For Saturday

The South Williamstown Community Association and the Hoosic River Watershed Association are inviting the public to take part in a Green River Cleanup Walk at 1 pm on Saturday.

The cleanup will start opposite Hart Construction at 381 New Ashford Road.

High water causes broken glass and other debris from a former town landfill to be washed into the river.

About 15 trash bags of glass and other debris were collected at last year’s cleanup.
