Family and friends of a woman who was last seen in Hinsdale in mid-May are reaching out to the public to help bring her home safely.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Coutinho, 53, last was seen about 10:15 a.m. May 15 on Smith Road in Hinsdale. Coutinho, a former town assessor on Nantucket, had been staying with her sister.

On Thursday, a GoFundMe page was set up to raise money to help pay for search efforts.

Coutinho is described as white, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with blond/gray shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She last was seen wearing a purple fleece jacket with a red hooded sweater, bluejeans and white sneakers.

Hinsdale Police Chief Susan Rathbun said an extensive search for Coutinho was conducted by her department as well as the Hinsdale Fire Department, Berkshire Mountain Search and Rescue and Massachusetts State Police. The search was conducted by foot, with support from a K-9 and helicopter unit in the days after her disappearance.

Her health condition, including her emotional state at the time she last was seen, was not clear, but Rathbun told The Eagle that police did not suspect foul play.

Family members created a Facebook page, "Find Jackie Coutinho," to share photos and flyers they created to help in the search.

As of Friday morning, the GoFundMe page had raised $480 of its stated $25,000 goal.

Anyone with any information about Coutinho's whereabouts is asked to contact the Hinsdale Police Department at 413-655-0201.
