Vinces’ son 23-year-old D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork was bagged and tagged on May 22nd and charged with theft of property greater than $300,000.  According to the Daily News, Vince reported he was missing two Super Bowl rings, two AFC championship rings and a championship ring he won while playing college ball with the Miami Hurricanes.  Other items including expensive necklaces, bracelets and earrings were also reported stolen.

Vince noticed the items were missing last May but thought they were packed away or stored at his other home in Florida.  It wasn’t until a Pats fan alerted Vince that his rings were posted for sale on a memorabilia site online.  After Vince contacted the person who claimed to have ownership of the rings, Vince was told that he bought the jewelry from Holmes-Wilfork last May for $62,000.

The rings are now in the custody of the Friendswood Police Department.  No longer in custody is D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork whose bail was set at $300,000 according to the report.  No information is currently available on the relationship between father and son.  This poster’s guess is that a simple Father’s Day card is not going to cut it this Sunday.
