In addition to the graduation parade held on June 11, Drury High School will celebrate the Class of 2020 with a commencement celebration at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Joe Wolfe Field.

Although most students picked up their diplomas during the parade, at Wednesday's celebration, graduates will have an opportunity to cheer their classmates as they each have their turn walking across the outdoor stage.

Class members may bring up to four family members to the event, and all student and family attendees have already registered in advance through the high school. Teachers and North Adams Public Schools staff members will also register in advance for the event and only preregistered guests and family members may attend.

Due to health and safety restrictions, the event is not open to the public but will be live-streamed through the North Adams Public Schools' Facebook page.

The event will follow all social distancing protocols and all attendees will be required to wear masks.
