Adams Police allege an Adams man is tied to eight drug overdoses, including one fatality, throughout the four-year investigation that led to his arrest on Monday.

The Berkshire Eagle reports Jeremy Vigiard, 49, regularly drove to Connecticut to purchase heroin and sell it in the Adams area before he was stopped in possession of 70 bags this week, according to police.

Vigiard, of Bellevue Avenue, was released on personal recognizance following his arraignment Tuesday.

He is next scheduled to appear on Aug. 31 for a pretrial hearing.
