Driver Charged With Fifth OUI Agrees To Be Held Without Bail For 120 Days
A Cheshire man agreed Tuesday to be held without bail for 120 days, during a pretrial hearing in Northern Berkshire District Court on a fifth OUI charge.
The Berkshire Eagle reports Wayne Field, 59, was stopped by Cheshire Police near a Route 8 liquor store May 17 and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.29 percent, more than three times the legal limit to drive.
Field, of West Mountain Road, is next scheduled to appear in court June 27 for a pretrial hearing. He has pleaded not guilty to single counts of operating under the influence, fifth offense, failure to signal and disorderly conduct.
