DA Harrington Calling for Release Of Some Inmates, Suspects

Berkshire District Attorney Andrea Harrington has joined a group of about 30 other prosecutors from across the country advocating for a reduction in incarceration in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We, as elected prosecutors, have an obligation to protect the safety and well-being of everyone in our community," part of a joint statement issued Wednesday by the group Fair and Just Prosecution reads. "Those obligations extend behind prison walls."
