Covid-19 outbreak reported at the North Adams Police Department.  According to The Berkshire Eagle four members of the North Adams Police have tested positive for Covid-19.  According to the report, Police Chief Jason Wood made the announcement yesterday and said those that have tested positive feel sick but are ok. The names of the officers affected were not released.

In the Berkshires there were 337 additional positive COVID-19 cases reported in the last two weeks (up to 8/24/21).  North Adams is one of the leading Berkshire County communities leading in the number of COVID-19 cases with 702.  North Adams has had 67 new cases reported in the last 2 weeks.  Only Pittsfield has more with 86 new cases over the same 2-week span.  The population of Pittsfield is over 3 times the population of North Adams.
