While riding in Williamstown's 4th of July parade I noticed signs for the Farmers Market. So I went back Saturday to check it out.

What I found was a portion of the Spring St. parking lot filled with an assortment of local produce and other products, with friendly farmers and artisans happy to meet with and talk to shoppers.

Items included not just fruit and vegetables, but local dairy products, meat, baked goods, flowers, plants, pottery, jewelry, baskets, knitted goods and much more. There were items being prepared on site and served for late breakfast and early lunch, and music too.

The Market's website gives an update of the weekly vendors and their offerings. A special addition this Saturday will be Chef Kevin from the Williams Inn who will be doing cooking demonstrations from 10-Noon, with local foods sourced from market vendors.

Williamstown's Farmers Market sets up in the parking lot at the bottom of Spring St. from 9-1 every Saturday until October. The lot still has room for parking, and I was even able to snag a space right on Spring St.
