As if we didn't have enough to worry about !

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that 10 people have been infected with listeria in Massachusetts, Florida and New York.

All 10 people have been hospitalized and one death has been reported in Florida, according to the CDC. Nine of the 10 reported eating Italian-style meats like salami, mortadella and prosciutto.

Each person purchased prepackaged deli meats and meats sliced at various deli counters. However, a specific type of deli meat, or a common supplier, has yet to be identified.

The CDC reports that if you are pregnant, aged 65 or older, or have a weakened immune system, you're at a higher risk for listeria infection. People not in these groups are unlikely to get sick from listeria.
