The Berkshire Eagle reports a Williamstown woman died from her injuries after a three-vehicle crash on Route 7 Friday morning.

Kristie M. Kuziel, 54, was extricated from her Hyundai Santa Fe after her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with another SUV traveling in the opposite lane. She was taken by ambulance to Pownal Elementary School where a Life Net medical helicopter intercepted and flew her to Albany [N.Y.] Medical Center.

Police say she sustained serious internal injuries and a broken leg before succumbing to her injuries at the hospital.

Kuziel was not wearing a seat belt, according to a statement from Vermont State Police.

Two SUVs and one parked Green Mountain Express bus were involved in the crash, which occurred around 8:50 a.m. in front of the Village Market and Video.

It is not clear whether anyone was on the bus at the time of the crash.

All vehicles involved in the crash were totaled, police said.

Route 7 at the intersection of Moonrise Drive was closed and traffic was rerouted down Center Street.

The Pownal Fire Department, Bennington Rescue Squad, and Vermont State Police responded to this crash.
