Cape Cod Drive-In Movie Theater Plans To Reopen
Here's an idea that might catch fire and grow.....maybe into Berkshire County.
A former drive-in theater in West Yarmouth is set to reopen after over three decades since it shut down.
Located on Route 28 in West Yarmouth on Parker’s River. The West Yarmouth Drive-In was operated by Interstate Theatres Corporation, opening in the mid-1950s.
The town bought the property in 1985 but closed three years later. The 22-acre site had been vacant for years and recently used for festivals.
Owners Innovation Arts & Entertainment plans to set up two movie screens, separated by a stage for eventual live entertainment. IAE has put together a number of festivals on Martha’s Vineyard.
