BRTA Says Buses Continue To Roll
The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority issued a statement Thursday, reassuring the public that "as of this moment, there have been no changes to any routes or times" for the company's buses.
The BRTA said their administration remains in touch with federal, state and local leaders during these ever-changing times.
The release also detailed the BRTA's efforts to clean its buses every evening and its facilities multiple times a day to limit any potential effects of the Coronavirus, with special attention paid to "high-traffic, high-touch areas." It said that operators are instructed to follow all CDC guidelines to remain healthy.
The Authority has also limited use of the Intermodal Transportation Center in Pittsfield to those using the B's buses, Peter Pan, Greyhound, or Amtrak, and to those patronizing the coffee shop. Tables have been removed and the remaining chairs spaced out to practice social distancing.
