Boil Order For Tap Water Lifted In Adams
UPDATE: The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has lifted the boil water order for all of the town water customers.
"It is no longer necessary to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, food preparation, brushing teeth and washing dishes," according to information posted on the Adams Fire District website by Superintendent John Barrett.
The Berkshire Eagle reports based on results of testing, the DEP lifted the order under the condition that the water system continues chlorination and installs a permanent chlorination system to prevent further issues with contaminants.
