Big Y To Close Thanksgiving and Friday After Holiday

Big Y will be closing all of its stores on Thanksgiving and the Friday after the holiday

The supermarket chain announced Wednesday that all Big Y World Class Markets, Table & Vine and Fresh Acres specially market will all be closed on Nov. 26 and 27.

Big Y Express Gas and Convince locations will also be closed on Nov. 26.

“We are humbled by the extraordinary work of our front line employees throughout this past year," Richard D. Bossie, senior vice president of operations and customer experience for Big Y, said in a news release.

"Being able to close to the public for an extra day or two, helps them to relax and spend time with loved ones. It also gives us an opportunity to clean and restock.
