There were seven new cases of the coronavirus, but no new deaths, reported in the Berkshires on Saturday, while the death toll across the commonwealth grew by 87, the state said on Saturday.

The county's death toll remains at 22, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Statewide, the death toll has risen to 686, up from 599 on Friday.

Cases in Berkshire rose to 336, up from 329 on Friday, according to the state.

There also are now 1,886 new confirmed cases statewide, for a total of 22,860 statewide, up from 20,974 on Friday.
