The Berkshire Eagle  reports three people were arrested Friday after police seized drugs, weapons and nearly $6,000 in cash from a Burt Street home, according to Adams Police.

Members of the Berkshire County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at the home Friday morning and found a loaded 9 mm handgun, 278 bags of heroin, 60 grams of cocaine and $5,893 cash, according to a statement from the Adams Police Department.

Police say the three were distributing drugs in Northern Berkshire County. They will be arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on firearms and drug charges. Their names were not released.

The investigation was a coordinated effort by the Adams Police Department, North Adams Police Department, Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force and federal agents assigned to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
