The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is bringing its Musical Petting Zoo to the Adams Free Library at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11.

After an introduction to the hands-on exhibit of musical instruments, participants get a chance to bow a violin, blow a horn, or tap out a rhythm on a drum. Each participant will receive an activity book with information, activities and games about orchestra instruments.

This event is presented as part of the library's summer reading program. Space is limited. Registration is required at 413-743-8345.
