Adams Issues New COVID-19 Town Restrictions

In compliance with the Governor’s Monday order to further limit the possible spread of COVID-19, the Town of Adams has sent notice that the following operational plan will be in effect as of Tuesday, March 24th:

Town Departments classified as Essential Services and will remain operating as normal:
• Police Department
• Department of Public Works & Wastewater Treatment
• Department of Inspectional Services

The following Town offices will operate with essential staff only Monday-Thursday, 9AM1PM and available via telephone and email:
• Accounting/Finance
• Assessor
• Town Clerk
• Council on Aging (Building Closed to Public; Limited Van Service by appointment only)
• Land Use/Board of Health
• Town Administrator/Selectmen
• Treasurer/Collector

The following departments/offices will operate remotely with no on premise office hours, available by voicemail and email only:
• Community Development

The following municipal buildings will be fully closed:
• Adams Free Library

Public parks, the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail and the Greylock Glen trail system and grounds remain open for activities that allow for social/physical distancing of at least six feet from other people and fewer than 10 people congregated.
