Adams Committee Closer To Fundraising Goal For Anthony Statue
The Suffrage Centennial Celebration Committee in Adams is getting closer to its fundraising goal.
IBerkshires.com reports that the campaign is nearing the $100,000 mark, bringing it closer to the amount needed to fund a Susan B. Anthony statue.
Committee member Erin Mucci gave her financial update Thursday last week and she says the group has raised so far $82,678.39.
When that $100,000 figure is reached, the Adams Community Bank contribution would kick in and that would the organization to the $125,000 amount that would basically pay for the statue.
