ThunderFest Returns To Adams Saturday (Audio)
ThunderFest is back to cure those winter blues.
Billed as a "Surefire Cure for Cabin Fever", Thunderfest will run from Noon to 5 at the Adams Visitors Center on Hoosac St. It's a full day of family fun, organized by ProAdams.
As noted on the event's Facebook page, Thunderfest features over a dozen vendors with plenty to eat and drink including locally crafted beer and wine, as well as local craft, retail and recreational vendors ready to share their wares, information, and passion for their work.
Youth Center Inc. will have fun for the kids, there will be free admission to the Thunderbolt Ski Museum, and music from Jack Waldheim “The One Man Dance Band" from Noon -2 followed by The BTUs with their funky blues and R&B sound.
Inside the Visitors Museum , the popular Chowder Competition returns, starting at 1:30. On this week's Community Insight show, ProAdams' Andrea Berti Stump told us what to expect.
Be sure to check out the Thunderbolt Ski Museum, a free exhibit inside the Visitors Center. As an added attraction, Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum is recreating the Snow Trains of the 1930s & 40s, leaving Adams Station right across the street hourly starting at 11:30.
