3 Berkshire Women Saluted as ‘Heroines’ of Public Engagement
Three Berkshire residents are among those recognized in the Massachusetts Commission of the Status of Women's Commonwealth Heroines Class of 2020.
The honorees are:
- Anne Nemetz-Carlson, of Williamstown, recommended by state Rep. John Barrett III, D-North Adams;
- Cheryl Rose, of Dalton, recommended by state Rep. Paul Mark, D-Peru;
- Jane Winn, of Pittsfield, recommended by state Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier, D-Pittsfield.
Each year's Commonwealth Heroines are recognized for performing "unheralded acts daily that make our homes, neighborhoods, cities and towns better places to live," according to a booklet publicizing this year's honorees.
