We recently examined 15 laws in Massachusetts that were quite strange. You couldn't help but wonder who came up with these laws and what they were on at the time. There actually were maybe 1 or 2 laws from that list which made sense. For the others, I wondered to myself, what circumstances occurred to the point where actions were needed to be taken to create a law?

We did some more digging and found 12 more strange Massachusetts laws. Thanks to various internet sources we can scratch our heads again while being entertained. As with the previous list we put together, most of these laws are still on the books but I would say it's a pretty safe bet that you won't get carted off to prison if you break them. Don't quote me on that though.

On the previous list there was one law that was slightly risky and I gave you a heads up about that before scrolling through the list. Well, guess what? This list also has another somewhat risky/dirty law. Like the previous list, I'll save it to the end for you. I figured being upfront and giving you fair warning is better than just surprising you with it, as you scroll along.

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
