A local woman will be held without bail for 60 days after allegedly breaking into an Adams home twice in less than a week while its owners were on vacation.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that 36 year old Hathia Girard allegedly stole multiple firearms and a television from her aunt and uncle’s North Road home on March 2nd and 7th.

The crime was initially discovered by a housekeeper. Police responded on March 2nd. According to a police report, the investigation discovered that four .22-caliber rifles, a .22-caliber handgun, .22-caliber ammunition and cash was missing from the property.

The homeowners believed their niece was likely responsible for the burglary, as they had also suspected her of stealing their television previously and banned her from the house last year.
