The 9th Annual Northern Berkshire Electronic Recycling & Paper Shredding Event is coming up this Saturday, September 22 from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M., at the Steeple City Plaza parking lot adjacent to All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams. The Church is co-sponsoring the event with the Northern Berkshire Solid Waste Management District. It’s open to all residents, schools and businesses in North Adams, Adams, Williamstown and surrounding communities.

If your toaster is toast or the old alarm clock has buzzed its last, bring it in. All types of small and medium-sized electronics and appliances will be accepted, most for a disposal fee between $5 and $15. TVs will be higher.  There’s a listing on All Saints’ Facebook page.

Also, paper shredding by the truck, bag, box or handful will be done on site with a state-of-the-art mobile shredding truck from Pro Shred, Inc. of Wilbraham. That's a time and labor saver I've taken advantage of myself a few times. There's even a small monitor on the side of the truck so you can watch your sensitive paperwork getting absolutely destroyed. A free will donation is asked for that service.

All proceeds will support the programs, ministries and community outreach of All Saints Episcopal Church.
