A North Adams woman is facing charges for allegedly causing the death of her father, for whom she was caring at the time.

The Berkshire Eagle reports Tammy Zdon, 46, on Wednesday denied accusations of involuntary manslaughter and caretaker abuse on an elder. She was indicted by a grand jury March 28.

The indictments say Zdon allegedly caused the death of her father, John Zdon, 72, on or about Aug. 28, 2016. Details regarding the charges were not included in the case file in Berkshire Superior Court, and were not aired during her arraignment.

She pleaded not guilty Wednesday and was released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court Sept. 20 for a pretrial hearing.
