Running a marathon in your lifetime is quite an achievement. But for one Massachusetts elementary school teacher, she took it to a whole other level to raise money for a great cause.

Renee DeMarsh, who is a teacher at Carver Elementary School, completed the World Marathon Challenge, which is seven marathons, in seven consecutive days on seven different continents. DeMarsh raised money with her incredible efforts for a new running trail at her school, as well as the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program, an organization which she volunteers her time in Cape Cod.

As if the completion of the challenge wasn't enough for DeMarsh, she also found herself towards the top of the results sheet. She came in third in the women's group and in 13th place overall. In the freezing cold temperatures you would likely find in Antartica, she ran the race in 4:28:10.

Seven days, seven continents, seven marathons and over 31 hours of running; absolutely incredible stuff from Renee DeMarsh.
