The next ArtWeek doesn't start until April 26 of 2019, but the North Adams Office of Tourism and 1Berkshire are inviting all those interested to learn more about the statewide festival next week.

An info session will be held in North Adams on Thursday, November 15, from 8-9 A.M. at the Design Lab, 49 Main St. Other sessions will also be held that day in Pittsfield and Great Barrington.

Presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center, ArtWeek has become an annual award-winning innovative festival featuring hundreds of unique and creative experiences that are hands-on, interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to artists or the creative process.

As described on their website, ArtWeek events should be "unique, memorable and inspired experiences as long as they offer a taste of the arts, culture, and/or creativity unlike others that you can traditionally experience throughout the rest of the year."

Submitting an event is free, and a great way to get exposure for both organizations and individuals. Applications are now open. The early bird application deadline will be January 11, 2019, and the final deadline will be on February 22. If you have any questions about the Nov. 15 info sessions, feel free to email tourism@northadams-ma.gov .
