The Berkshire Dream Center is hosting free haircuts for students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade over February vacation, according to Katelynn Miner, the nonprofit's founder and executive director.

The Berkshire Eagle reports children often get a haircut before the school year begins, but by February, they will likely need another.

Students can register for their haircuts at Berkshire Dream Center's website and representatives will contact them with appointment times.

The haircuts will be offered Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday in North Adams and Pittsfield.

In Pittsfield, volunteer hairstylists and barbers will be at the Berkshire Dream Center at 475 Tyler St. In North Adams, local stylists and barbers will host the students at their locations, Miner said.

Hairstylists looking to get involved with the program can contact the Berkshire Dream Center at 413-522-3495 and berkshiredreamcenter@gmail.com.
