Dogs & Drafts: A Bright Idea

This year's annual Fall Foliage Parade celebrated the "Year of the Dog" and many North Adams Fall Foliage Festival events picked up on that theme. Now dog lovers have another event to celebrate.

"Dogs & Drafts" is coming up on Saturday, October 13, when you can come and visit Berkshire Humane Society at Bright Ideas Brewing! From Noon to 2, Berkshire Humane Society will be collecting donations at dog-friendly Bright Ideas Brewing in North Adams. They're especially looking for things like pet food, soft dog treats, dog & puppy toys and chews, cleaning supplies, and paper products. Let's not forget that BHS also takes care of kitties looking for a forever home, so cat & kitten toys would be appreciated. And there's always that standby, good old cash. BHS receives no public funds from any other animal support groups or from any local, state or federal sources.

It's family-friendly so bring the kids. The fun will be on Bright Ideas Brewing outdoor patio on the MASS MoCA campus, so there is a rain date of October 20. Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome on the patio, so come out, have a beer or other favorite beverage. Bring your dog & help a homeless pet.
