As the BRTA paratransit driver’s strike enters a fifth day today, it's looking like riders of the fixed route buses will likely be left to fend for themselves over the weekend.

The Berkshire Eagle reports the latest update from the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority says, that should the current paratransit strike continue into the weekend – and so far, there is no indication that the strike might come to an end – the current limited fixed route service will not be running.

Meanwhile, the paratransit service will be limited to transporting for essential medical services on both Saturday and Sunday.

The limited fixed route service would then resume on Monday, while the paratransit service would resume both essential and additional transportation requests.
