BRTA Implements Various Service and Fee Changes

The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority Advisory Board voted to implement various service changes that will go into effect September 4th.

The Berkshire Eagle reports the moves were made after many public meetings throughout the county.

There are several changes...  among them are changes in fares.

The cash fare will remain the same for both full-fare and reduced-fare individuals.

The discount on the Charlie Card will lessen.

For full-fare local trips, the Charlie Card fare will go from $1.40 to $1.55, and for full-fare system-wide trips, the fare will go from $3.60 to $4.00. For reduced-fare local trips, the Charlie Card fare will go from 70 cents to 75 cents, and for reduced-fare system-wide trips, the fare will go from $1.80 to $2.00.
