Members of the Berkshire Legislative Delegation have been given their committee assignments. IBerkshires.com  reports that State Rep. Paul Mark will again chair the House Committee on Redistricting. He was chair for the last two years and will continue to work as the U.S. Census begins. State Rep. Smitty Pignatelli will be the House chair of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture. It is a position he was appointed to following the death of Gailanne Cariddi during the last legislative session. State Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier will serve on four committees: Elder Affairs – in which she will serve as vice-chair, Election Laws, Technology and Intergovernmental Affairs, and Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development. And – The newest member of the delegation, John Barrett III, wanted Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development but instead was surprised with a seat on the powerful Ways and Means Committee.
